SSC MTS Paper 2 Patterns
- Paper 2 is a descriptive paper and is qualifying in nature. It tests the initial language skills of the candidates.
- The paper consists of one question on short essay writing / letter writing in English or any language included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution.
- Paper 2 will be of 50 marks

SSC MTS Marking Scheme
- Paper 1 consists of 100 questions; Each question will be of 1 mark.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Paper 2 is of qualifying nature and will only test the preliminary skills of the candidates. Its maximum marks will be 50. Only those who qualify Paper 1 will be eligible to write Paper 2.

SSC MTS Exam Day instructions
- Aadhar, Driving License, University or College ID Card, Voter ID Card or PAN Card approved by the ID Proof Conducting Authority.
- Candidates should remember that they are not allowed to carry the following items in the examination center: Watches (timers, wristwatches, etc.), Books, Pens, Paper chits, Magazines, Electronic items (like mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, pen camera) or buttonhole camera, scanner, calculator, pen drive, hard drive, CD or other storage device).
- Pen, pencil and paper required for rough work will be provided by the center in the examination hall.
- A wall clock will be provided in the classroom so that candidates need not worry about time management.
- Please note that if a candidate is found carrying any of these prohibited items inside the examination hall, the candidate will be debarred from SSC MTS exam for three years.
- No family members, friends, parents or associates will be allowed inside the examination center with the candidates.
- Where examination is scheduled, candidates will be screened before entering the class. After entering the security check, they will be asked to carry them to their classes to make sure they are not carrying any prohibited items.
- Separate search will be arranged for female candidates. All the candidates will be searched by women personnel only. The process is mandatory for all the candidates.
- No candidate is allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.
- If a candidate leaves the examination hall without the permission of the invigilator, he/she will not be allowed to enter the examination hall and will be debarred from this examination.
- Please ensure that you sign the attendance sheet when it is circulated to the examination hall.
